What Services Do Adult Day Care Centers Provide?
A Look Inside Still Waters Adult Day Center.
Families wonder what an adult day center looks like daily. Is it social? Medical? Engaging? Safe? The answer is all the above. Here at Still Waters, we provide a licensed nurse on-site every day, Trained staff, Breakfast, lunch, and snacks. Structured daily activities are a fan favorite; many social, physical, and cognitive programs are included, and medication administration is also provided. With hours running from 7 am to 6 pm, it allows families to have flexibility in scheduling that fits with their work routines and caregiving demands.
The programs are designed to support memory, physical strength, emotional well-being, and social confidence. Here is an example of what a day might look like: Breakfast and morning socializing will be from 7:30 am to 9 am, and between 9 am and noon, there will be chair exercise, music therapy, or art therapy. Lunch will be from noon to 1 pm, and from 1:30 to 3 pm, including crafts, cognitive games, and guest performers. Between 3-5 pm, there will be snacks, relaxation, and pickups.
Part of Still Waters' mission is to not only serve and care for guests, but also support caregivers. Having an adult day center gives caregivers peace of mind during working hours, emotional support, and guidance on funding and resources. A bonus is the flexible schedule.
